What is Wellness Coaching?
Creating lasting sustainable change is hard. Sometimes, just a bit of non-judgmental, knowledgeable support can make all the difference. That’s where I come in.
Wellness coaching is a collaborative partnership between a client and coach that helps the client to reach his or her goals. Coaches use a variety of tools to help a client identify her vision, find her motivation and develop the goals, strategies and actions that will propel her forward.
Wellness coaching is NOT an expert-based approach. A wellness coach will not tell you what to do, but will instead help you to find your own answers. Wellness coaching recognizes that you are the best expert on your own life – even if you don’t yet recognize it.
Wellness coaching is NOT therapy. While therapy is a valuable modality in many cases, it is typically focused on looking backward to work on healing past hurts. Coaching focuses on looking forward to create a better version of oneself.
